Ripe for the Pickin'![]() Ahh, 74 degrees, Sunny, how often do days like this come along in October? Not very! On that note, we decided to head for the orchard today. Patrick is so easy going in the baby carrier that taking him out to a place like this is no sweat! ![]() We did manage to find some good apples, Stamens and Golden Delicious, but all in all, the apples weren't good for the pickin'! Many of them were bruised or bug infested and finding good apples was a task. At least with the ones I did get, I'll make up some pies. ![]() Before heading out, we picked a few pumpkins out. Hopefully, the squirrels won't eat them on us! Labels: Seasons 4:05 PM 10/11/20081 Comments:I love these autumnal images! By A Day That Is Dessert, at 17/10/08 8:52 PM ![]() As the days grow shorter and the weather chillier, I'm finding myself enjoying a brisk walk every morning with my little man. I love taking in all that fall has to offer. Seeing mums on porches, pumpkins on stoops, and leaves blowing around is so exciting! It's really only the beginning. This week, it was chillier than it has been, so Patrick Finn was able to don his new dinosaur sweater. It's perfect for the season! Labels: Baby Patrick, Seasons 11:49 AM 9/26/20080 Comments:![]() It's been years since I've been there. Fantasy Island on LBI just isn't quite the same as Seaside Heights, but then again I don't go to LBI for the boardwalk concept. Joe and I headed to visit family over the weekend down at the classic Ocean Beach Unit III. Being as pregnant as I am, everyone was quite surprised when I decided to head to the boardwalk. I was armed with my camera, ready to capture the feeling, the anticipation of the rides, and I had the perfect subject. ![]() Emma, of course! Never did I imagine that I wouldn't find myself watching Emma on all the cute kiddie rides...no way! Brave little soul! There she was, yearning for every single rollercoaster on the pier! And ride each of them she did! I'm still not sure where she got that kind of bravery, but I sure was jealous! Ahh well, next summer, we can ride together :) 10:05 PM 7/28/2008 0 Comments:That's right kids! Just five more days until I'm free for the summer! Actually, I'm free until FEBRUARY! Of course, much of that time will be taken up by a little Conroy ;) I can't wait, I feel like the only time I've got right now is the weekends when I can breathe and actually get things done. Poor Joe, yesterday I asked him to help me fold laundry. Before he knew it, we were taking over the laundry room by storm, cleaning every nook and cranny, making the whole place absolutely immaculate! I think the nesting business has decided to set in! I'm not sure we've seen the laundry room so clean since we moved in nearly 5 years ago!! Alas, the summer will leave me with many projects. Of course, pregnancy can't stop me from my annual big summer project. This year, I'm really gonna paint our bedroom a lighter shade of sage. We also have the baby's room to finish. Not to mention the various baby projects, like the baby quilt that I started months ago or the baby carrier that I've got fabric waiting for. It's going to be a great summer! By the end, the Conroys will number THREE! Labels: Family, School, Seasons 9:24 AM 6/16/20080 Comments:It's here! Finally, it's here! And without too much winter to bear this year. I'm rather hoping that summer comes just as quick! With Spring, we find ourselves playing catch up. Life has this tendency of taking over, and before you know it, you are well behind! My car is in the shop today, tomorrow I had a dreaded dentist appointment (aren't they all?) and then, on Tuesday, an OB appointment!! Joe is quite excited to go with me this time to hear the heartbeat! Other than that, we've got some stuff to move out of the babies room, and perhaps some gardening (as the spring beauties are already starting to come out! A glorious week ahead! Labels: Seasons 8:55 AM 3/21/20080 Comments:![]() Perhaps my mom and dad are looking down upon us laughing right now..torturing us with early snow for the season, but alas, it seems that winter has set in.
