Little Outfits for a Little Someone...![]() I've finally had the opportunity to start crafting now that summer has begun...or should I say, the energy! I had a few projects that needed to get a moving, as they were a little behind!! Over in JG land, we had a new mama swap. My swap mama sent me her goodies before her little one was born, but I didn't get back to her until yesterday, when I ran off to the post office with a sweet smelling box of Mother's Milk Tea, Momma Soap, and these adorable organic onesies..I was smart, I bought 3-6 months! None of this newborn business! Good thing too! Apparently the little man is just out of his newborn clothes, so these will be perfect! Labels: Crafting 8:03 PM 6/26/20080 Comments:Uh oh! I just spent 30 dollars on the cheapest DVD player imaginable for the purple room..soon enough, I'm NEVER going to want to come out of there and I can sew ALL THE TIME! Labels: Crafting 2:52 PM 6/23/20080 Comments:Ticking Fabric ---Check! Linen for Skirt ---Check! Outdoor Fabric for Cushions ---Check! Just one more half day until I'm free to create! I can't wait to sleep in and wake up to a leisurely morning lounging and Katie snuggles! 11:06 AM 6/19/2008 0 Comments:Well, break is just about over..what do I have left? A mere few hours? It's alright, I suppose. Joe and I made good progress over the week. Although he had a stiff neck that required a trip to the doctor, he managed to help me move the larger things out of the baby's room and into the purple room. In his words, "Maybe you'll have time to set it up when you are home with the baby..." Yeah right! I have every intention of working up there as soon as possible!! After I painted the window ledges and installed the new blinds in the baby's room, I took to the attic, setting up my new sewing area, which will be shared with the likes of Joe's nostalgic video games, the exercise bike, and reading nook that we've so lovingly crafted. It really didn't take me long to do. Unfortunately, my body tells me when to slow down before my brain does these days. Noone ever mentioned how gingerly you'd find yourself moving while pregnant. I swear, I'm carrying a watermelon and I'm not even half way there yet! I'm hoping this move to the purple room will find me new inspiration. I did head up there today with the notion that I'd be starting on a Waldorf Doll, only to find that my doll fabric isn't exactly what I wanted for this project and I've got to wait until I get some material more befitting of the doll. At least I got the head started! Labels: Crafting, milestones, Pregnancy 3:50 PM 3/30/20080 Comments:![]() For quite some time, I've felt as if I've been stuck in a creative slump. I honestly thought for a while that it might be permanent! Somewhere deep inside though, I had a feeling it might return. A friend of mine has this great book. The Seven Secrets of Highly Creative Women Somewhere inside its pages, I remember reading that creativity comes and goes in cycles. I tucked that little notion into the back of my mind and life went on. Not only that, but I've recently discovered the world of craft bloggers! Oh, the creativity! Such beautiful things out there! So inspiring! As many of you know, Halloween costumes are an annual tradition for me. This year, however, they've done much more. Those costumes have gotten me into my studio, doing more sewing, being more creative. I've even started making some Christmas gifts! So for now, I'll treasure this new found interest in crafting again..and hope that it hangs around for a while! Labels: Crafting 7:33 PM 11/06/20070 Comments:![]() I hope you all have a spooktacular time! Joe and I dressed up as LINK AND ZELDA if you didn't guess it. It was a lot of fun! Check us out in our costumes! 4:45 PM 10/31/2007 0 Comments: |
