Something about the Boardwalk...![]() It's been years since I've been there. Fantasy Island on LBI just isn't quite the same as Seaside Heights, but then again I don't go to LBI for the boardwalk concept. Joe and I headed to visit family over the weekend down at the classic Ocean Beach Unit III. Being as pregnant as I am, everyone was quite surprised when I decided to head to the boardwalk. I was armed with my camera, ready to capture the feeling, the anticipation of the rides, and I had the perfect subject. ![]() Emma, of course! Never did I imagine that I wouldn't find myself watching Emma on all the cute kiddie rides...no way! Brave little soul! There she was, yearning for every single rollercoaster on the pier! And ride each of them she did! I'm still not sure where she got that kind of bravery, but I sure was jealous! Ahh well, next summer, we can ride together :) 10:05 PM 7/28/2008 0 Comments:![]() The days keep sneaking right past me, and before you know it, the Conroy's will be 3! Today, I went to the dreaded baby super store, and I think I'm done! I've got everything in order, and now we are just awaiting little "Kenobi's" arrival. Hopefully, baby will wait until AFTER Vibes..because I'd really like to enjoy myself just one last time.... Labels: Pregnancy 6:12 PM 7/24/20080 Comments:Joe and I ventured to Lambertville today in hopes of finding a coming home outfit. We found the outfit in the wrong color. Luckily they had a website, http://www.barefootdreams.com. So I came home and ordered it! As we walked around, I saw this funny sign. 6:32 PM 7/18/2008 0 Comments:![]() ...and their babies...and their husbands... Joe and I made our way on one of our last pre-baby roadtrips this past weekend. We headed up to Northampton, Massachusetts. I was fortunate enough to visit Avi once before, but Joe did not venture with me. Noho is just an awesome town that he needed to experience for himself. Although we got off to a late start and did not get to explore town the first day, by the second, when things had quieted down, we were walking around with our gracious hosts. The gathering was amazing. Good friends, old and new, gathered with great food. Little ones abound, little ones I'd known only in the womb before! And although the style of partying may have changed, the company sure has not. I can't wait to do it again! I think part of the joy is the hunt for the perfect fabric. It should be a lightweight cotton duck type of fabric. I don't generally go looking, but when I find it, I know it's just the perfect weight for a shopping bag. ![]() The last time we went shopping, Joe suggested I make some with longer "over the shoulder" type of straps. Knowing I had some extra strap fabric this time, I decided to make it with TWO sets of straps! One set is for over the shoulder, and the other for when you'd be more comfortable carrying it the regular way! 12:44 PM 7/08/2008 0 Comments:Well, the annual block party was a hit as usual. We got lucky! The rain decided to hold off! My main topic of conversation was obviously a "When are you due?" sort of thing, but none the less, it was fun. There was plenty of good food to be had. Joe and my iPods are always a hit with the crowds. We had a nice watermelon seed spitting contest this year, and surprisingly Diana prevailed as the winner! Looking forward to another gathering next year...and perhaps another before the summer is out!
