A School Christmas As I glance over my coffee table covered in trifles of affection, I can sit back and enjoy the next ten days of well needed rest. Joe and I get to celebrate two Christmases: One for the two of us with family (like all of you) and one on the last day of school before break (if you're lucky enough to be a teacher, you get to celebrate this one too!) We sit together opening gifts from our multitudes of students. As we gaze over the chocolates and gift cards and occassional oddity, we relish in all of it! If you are a teacher, I wish you the most enjoyable of breaks! God knows we all need it. 30 kids in my homeroom would certainly agree, I'm sure! ;) 2:50 PM 12/22/2006 0 Comments:I'm not one to usually post about stuff like this. I had a particularly trying week with my second observation officially under my belt as of this morning and I THOUGHT I would be riding the wave out to New Years with my favorite musician. It may still be abound, but not without the burned image of his MUGSHOT blaring in my head. Trey, what have you done? What about all you said? How could you do this to yourself? Maybe it's a good thing. Maybe you'll FINALLY clean up your act and get your shit together..in the meantime, I'll be sending you well thoughts.. 3:45 PM 12/15/2006 0 Comments:I'm not sure what it is, but it seems as if the coffee table is an abyss of things that have no proper place. Or maybe they do, but they end up there, and they stay for a while...a collect all of sorts..What is so appealing about the coffee table idea that makes it such an American tradition? Does this happen to everyone? A sea of clutter made up of mostly random things..cat treats, pens..nutella, nail polish..things that have no earthly right sitting next to each other in any other circumstances, but somehow, on the coffee table, all rules are barred! Does your coffee table collect things like this? How can I prevent it? Is this really what a coffee table's purpose truly is? Please! Enlighten me! 10:27 AM 12/03/2006 1 Comments:
