Snow I say? What's THAT?! We haven't seen the likes of much of it this year but Mother Nature was just holding out on us (thankfully) although she did let loose today! We got over a foot of snow. Hopefully it won't last long. Walks in the snow aren't fun and are usually colder than normal! I can't have that AT ALL! Anyway, here is some snowy fun for you.

So tomorrow is my 30th birthday. Now, I just spent some time perusing older posts in my archives and I was quite amused at some of the things I've said. Now my opinion of my birthday hasn't changed at all. I'm currently stressing over what to wear tomorrow and how to smile and enjoy my birthday. The whole incidence of it makes it me nervous. That's just who I am. But the birthday itself, now that's a different story.
Most people despise the year they turn 30. Perhaps it's a sign of crossing another decade and a sign of getting old. Then there are others, who take it in stride, and use the opportunity to change themselves for the better.
Well..I decided sometime in the early fall that I would be one of those people. I would change for the better and that starts from within. You must learn to love yourself before you can love others, or so they say. So what exactly does this mean? Well, I've taken it upon myself to get in shape. Yep, I'm talking walking 2 miles a day, if not more, eatting right, and watching the payoff. Now what is the payoff thus far of course? Well, there are 25 pounds less of me, of course! Yes, 30 minus 25, now how bad could that be? It's nice really. I did it for myself, something I just feel compelled to do, but when people start asking you "How did you do it?" "What's your plan?" etc etc, I feel just a little more confident. It makes 30 much more bearable! 10:22 PM 2/05/2006
