so you have friends and then you have aquaintances..when exactly does one cross the line and become a friend versus an aquaintance? What exactly is the deciding factor? I mean, lets discuss this. What makes someone a friend and NOT just an aquaintance?? Well, for starters, I talk to my friends on the phone..sometimes, we email back and forth and maybe I talk to them online too..I also tend to visit them or have them over my house on a regular basis..most of them are my age, we have things in common...aquaintances on the other hand, might run in the same groups as I do. I might see them if I go someplace that they would also go to..but I probably don't do all those things that make them an outright friend..so I'm confused..why can't some of my aquaintances seem to figure this out?? Why do they get upset when I don't call them when I'm around?? Not like I even have all their numbers or anything!! It just bothers me!!! 8:52 PM 2/28/2005

it never really leaves you...Last night, we were at a party..These folks are extended Rutgers friends from Rowan. They used to live locally here, but they moved southward about a year ago. So anyway, Joe tends to go to game night down there once in a while..He knows alot of the guys that play..On the other hand, I knew a small handful of people..and only from meeting them at the couple's wedding. So there we are, about the cut the cake..and there is a guy standing next to me. I looked at him..intent that he looked familiar..I couldn't quite place it, but KNEW I knew him. He looked right at me..and gave me the same look..and immediately, I knew who it was!! Who would have thought that out of all places, I'd run into a kid I knew in high school?? Thankfully, it wasn't a bad experience ;) It happened to be someone I actually knew and was friends with..but talk about WEIRD! 8:20 AM

So when I was a kid..and there was some birthday party that I was invited to, but someone else wasn't, I was always told to be polite and not brag about it..I was never in position of the uninvited until now..It sucks!! Although different in sorts, it's still the same concept..everyone is talking about it, but you can't go..and you have to sit there and listen to them.. I'll take that as a life lesson, and make sure that my children know it too.. I'd hate to have them hurting the feelings of others.. 4:06 PM 2/17/2005

So what do you do when people you used to be friends with end up in your nightmares?? Literally?? Giving you checks for $72.50 along with a copy of your mortgage statement...Talk about strange..maybe its the concept of seeing those undesirables and feeling strangulated for a few minutes a few nights ago..i dunno..I give up.. 12:03 PM 2/13/2005

So I went to see moe. the other night..It was purely a fluke really..I was fishing for tickets on ticketmaster the day they went on sale and I miraculously pulled up four..so I got them ;) After all, Trey was playing!!
All the moe. kids were whining about how Trey would come out and play one or two songs..boy were they all wrong. Trey came out and stole the second set..it was amazing..I realized that although Phish is no more..Phish's music is certainly not gone..Trey busted out some amazing things, including Wilson and Chalkdust..It was a mindblowing show!! I also realized that although I haven't seen moe. in almost 8 years, they still feel relatively the same..I recognized many of the moe. songs from back in the day..nothing new!!
Afterwards, "after midnight", my crew and I headed down to BB Kings to try and see what was up...they weren't budging and I haven't heard a thing about it..so who knows what ended up happening, but we ended up at a bar across the street..til the wee hours in the morning, all silly and stupid..It was an interesting experience to say the least..Shaba, our new found bar friend, seemed amused by our conversation, which in turn led to him messing with us and buying everyone a round..he ended up hanging around for quite a while chatting up a storm..made for much fun!!
